Can people really form friendships, or even fall in love, with artifical intelligence? As millions of people around the world turn to AI chatbots for comfort and connection, James Muldoon ('Love Machines') and Anna Machin ('Why We Love') explore the future risks and rewards on human relationships.
With AI becoming more and more human, author James shares how these chatbots echo the intimacy and companionship of real-life relationships, and why we're drawn to them. Evolutionary anthropologist, Anna, reveals what AI says about our deepest human needs, exploring the biology and evolution behind our ideas of love, attachment and bonding. Chaired by Charli Clement.
