Join us for a special screening of iconic British music videos from the past 50 years, followed by a panel discussion exploring the cultural impact of the music video as an art form.
Taking Queen’s groundbreaking Bohemian Rhapsody video, released in 1975, as it’s jumping off point, the evening will celebrate the creativity of British artists and directors as they explore artistic expression and cultural representation through the music video format.
Panel guests include:
- Murray Matravers from Hard Life whose new album, Onion is released on July 18th
- Tajana Tokyo, music video director, her work includes Ezra Collective’s God Gave Me Feet For Dancing
- Kadri Mahmoud, music video producer, one of the founders of Compulsory Film and University of Westminster alumnus
- Dr Michael L. Austin, Senior Lecturer of Music and Sound and Programme Leader in Music Production at Edge Hill University and author of Audiovisual Alterity: Representing Ourselves and Others in Music Videos
How To Get Your Tickets
1. Book your desired number of tickets and await an email from us confirming your order. This is NOT a ticket.
2. Collect your ticket(s) from the venue’s box office on the performance date, allowing plenty of time to do so. Ensure that you take personal ID with you or you may be turned away.
