Description
Gather with friends and family for this lively celebration of music and dance where Scottish tradition meets Baroque flair.
Flawless Norwegian folk ensemble Barokksolistene returns to the Festival for another rip-roaring concert after the enormous popularity of The Alehouse Sessions. This time, they’re joined by Scottish musician Donald Shaw, known as founding member of Scottish folk legends Capercaillie, alongside his ceilidh band.
Alongside beloved ceilidh tunes like the The Gay Gordons and Strip the Willow, Barokksolistene adds an irresistible repertoire of Baroque music, sea shanties and alehouse tunes to the mix. Enjoy an afternoon of music and dance inspired by the Gaelic ceilidh tradition with a caller for the dances.
