Or even how we know the truly vast scale of the Universe? These are all things we know thanks to the work of scientists you probably haven’t heard of!

Join author Peter Gallivan to explore the amazing hidden heroes of science whose work shaped the modern world we live in, and how we understand our place in it. On a whistlestop tour of science, you’ll journey back thousands of years to meet some of the first scientists, before journeying onwards meeting heroes from all over the world. The Ri Demo team will also be on hand to help bring the science to life with exciting demonstrations and experiments.

How To Get Your Tickets

1. Book your desired number of tickets and await an email from us confirming your order. This is NOT a ticket.

2. Present your confirmation on arrival at the venue. Ensure that you take personal ID with you or you may be turned away

• You can choose a Free Ticket or a Free Ticket with £5 Donation - all £5 goes straight to the Royal Institution to continue their excellent scientific education work. Both tickets allow the same entry to the event.
