They begin with Herbert’s poignant Elegy (In Memoriam Stephen Lawrence), a deeply moving tribute that illustrates the power of music to find beauty within tragedy. This is followed by Schubert’s Symphony No. 2, which Sir Colin Davies described as “jolting you into a new way of thinking about the symphony”.

From its tender Andante to the spirited Presto final movement, the work is a delightful exploration of the composer’s early genius.

How To Get Your Tickets
