Theatreship presents Cinema Unbound: The Creative Worlds of Powell + Pressburger, part of a BFI major UK-wide celebration of one of the greatest and most enduring filmmaking partnerships: Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger.
In Powell and Pressburger's film Tales of Hoffman, Metropolitan opera star Robert Rounseville plays Hoffmann, a university student who is spectacularly unlucky in affairs of the heart. Each of his love affairs with Olympia (Moira Shearer), an animated doll, Venetian courtesan Giulietta (Ludmilla Tcherina) and singer’s daughter Antonia (Ann Ayars) is doomed for failure due to circumstances far beyond our hero’s control.
How To Get Your Tickets
1. Book your desired number of vouchers (one voucher is equal to one ticket) and await an email from us confirming your order. This email will contain a booking confirmation PDF, this is NOT a ticket.
2. Open your booking confirmation PDF and follow the instructions to redeem your ticket(s) using the unique link or code found in the PDF. You must redeem your ticket(s) as soon as you have purchased your voucher to avoid disappointment.
3. Once you have redeemed your ticket(s) and received them via email, take them with you and show them on entry at the event. Ensure that you take employment and personal ID with you or you may be turned away.
