Millennium Gallery, Arundel Gate, Sheffield, S1 2PP

Description

Leone Ross is a novelist, short story writer, editor and lecturer in fiction writing. She was born in England and grew up in Jamaica. She will talk about her work as a writer including latest novel This One Sky Day. This dazzling tale, ( ten years in the writing), charts two lovers on the imaginary Caribbean archipelago of Popisho who must find their way back to each other over a single day. It is a glorious, sensual blend of romance, comedy and magical realism. A vividly conjured, bizzare, sexy fairy tale with a dash of real world politics. This One Sky Day is a one-of-a-kind novel.
